Cynthia M. (Colucci) Sundberg
GENEVA - Cynthia M. Sundberg, 63, of South Eagle Street, died Saturday, Dec. 1,
2001, after a heroic battle with lung cancer.
She will be greatly missed by friends and family.
Mrs. Sundberg was born June 30, 1938, in Sliver Creek, N.Y., the daughter of
Andrew and Angeline (Volpone) Colucci. She
was a 1956 Geneva High School graduate. As a young woman, she had an avid
interest in fashion and dancing. For 10 years she participated in a pinochle
club with her friends.
She was a member of the Thursday High Ladies League at Sonny Lanes for 35 years
and volunteered with the Cinder-Ellas, the Harpersfield Fire Department Ladies'
Auxiliary. In recent years she also volunteered with the county Mental Health
Board.
She worked as a salesperson at Wright's Department Store and Garrick's Clothing
in downtown Geneva. She also worked and volunteered at Assumption Catholic
Church and School for a good portion of her life.
She was a celebrator of life and encouraged everyone around her to enjoy life and make the most out of what God had given them. She was a mother to every child, a supporter and helper to all she knew and at times even those she did not know. Above her dedication to the community and the church, she was totally devoted to her parents, siblings, children, and their progress.
