WILLIAM L. MOREY
GENEVA -- William Lee Morey, age 80, a lifelong area resident of Geneva, Ohio, died Tuesday, January 24, 2006, at the Cleveland Clinic.

Born April 5, 1925 in Geneva, he was a son of the late Chloe (McCarty) and Floyd Morey. A graduate of Geneva High School in 1943, he then served in the U S. Army during World War II in the European Theatre.

On June 16, 1956, he married Nola Warren in Geneva.

He was employed at True Temper for 35 years, retiring in 1980. Bill also worked at The Planter Florist.

He was a member of Geneva First United Methodist Church, where he also had worked as a custodian, and a member of Geneva V.F.W. Post #6846.

Bill enjoyed working in his flower garden and watching all sports.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Nola (Warren) Morey; two daughters, Janice (Jack) Vincent of Geneva and Susan (Paul) Bliss of Erie, Pennsylvania; a son, James Morey of Geneva-on-the-Lake; and four grandsons, Scott, Kevin, and Randy Vincent, and Paul Bliss.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Robert and Floyd "Mickey" Morey.

Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2006, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 175 South Broadway, Geneva, with Reverend John Gross, of Geneva First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Geneva.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2006, at the Funeral Home.
