GENEVA - Floyd L. "Mickey" Morey, 82, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001, at
his home.
He was born Nov. 3, 1919, in Saybrook Township, the son of Floyd and Chloe
(McCarty) Morey and was a longtime Geneva resident.
A 1937 Geneva High School graduate, Mr. Morey worked as the assistant
postmaster for the Geneva Post Office years and as the lift bridge operator at
the Ashtabula Harbor.
Mr. Morey was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Pacific Theatre.
Survivors include a brother, William.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Robert.
Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway,
Geneva, with the Rev. Hugh Hookway of Geneva First United Methodist Church
officiating. Burial will be in Saybrook Township Cemetery.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
