GENEVA - Harriet L. Pierce, 89,
died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2001, at UHHS Memorial Hospital of Geneva.
Born July 29, 1912, in Mechanicsville, she was a daughter of William and Ida
May (Chapman) Korver and was a lifelong Geneva area resident.
She married John A. Pierce on Aug. 27, 1940, in Jefferson.
A 1930 Geneva High School graduate, she worked as a nurse's aide at Memorial
Hospital of Geneva.
She was a member of Geneva Church of Christ and lived her life as a faithful
Christian. She was always happy to help others and offered total support to
family and friends. She enjoyed gardening and baking.
Survivors include two daughters, Arlene K. Egan of Hudson and Phyllis J.
Plumley of Little Rock, Ark.; a son, Arthur J. of Geneva; five grandchildren;
and a brother, Leonard Korver of Jefferson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1975; two sisters,
Mary Harvey and Clara Korver; and three brothers, Raymond, Theodore and George
Korver.
Service is noon Monday at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway,
Geneva, with the Rev. Ronald Cox of Geneva Church of Christ officiating. Burial
will be in Mechanicsville Cemetery, Austinburg Township.
Calling hours are 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River
St., Madison.
