JOSEPH C.  KERESTMAN

GENEVA – Joseph C.
  Kerestman, 37, a lifetime resident of Geneva passed April 20, 2005 at UHHS Memorial Hospital of Geneva.  He was born June 4, 1967, in Paines-ville, Ohio.  

Joseph graduated from Geneva High School, Class of 1985.  He served in the U.S.  Navy for nine years aboard the U.S.S.  Trippe as an Antisubmarine Air Controller.  He received the Navy Unit Commendation and the Battle “E” Award, and also the Kuwait Liberation Medal.

He was employed as a Chemical Operator at the P.E.T.  Processing plant in Painesville Township.

Joseph was a member of the Assumption Church in Geneva, and Geneva VFW.

His hobbies included his children, reading, and his family pets.

Survivors include his son, Joseph Kerestman of Geneva, Ohio; daughters, Alicia, Amanda, and Jennifer Kerestman of Geneva; parents, James and Mary (Palo) Kerestman; two brothers, James, serving in the U.S.  Navy in the Red Sea, and Christopher Kerestman; sisters, Katherine Kerestman of Perry, Vicki Kerestman, Lisa Persinger of Cuyahoga Falls, and Dorothy Wright of Mentor.

Friends may call from 2 p.m.  to 5 p.m., Sunday at the BEHM FUNERAL HOME, 175 South Broadway in Geneva.  Burial will be Riverside Cemetery Painesville.  Contributions may be made to the Saint Vincent DePaul Society C/O Assumption Church.
