DOUGLAS J.  SCOTT

NORTH KINGSVILLE — Douglas J.
  Scott, age 45, of Lake Road, died Wednesday, March 16, 2005, at his sister’s home.

Born March 5, 1960 in Ashtabula, OH, he was the son of Floyd and Virginia (Sears) Scott, Jr.  He was a 1978 graduate of Geneva High School.

Douglas belonged to Alcoholics Anonymous in Ashtabula for ten years; in which he has sponsored many people.  He also belonged to the “R” Club on Main Avenue and had many very good friends that became his “extended family”.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and helping out other people.

His survivors include his father, Floyd Scott, Jr.  of Ashtabula; a daughter, Kathryn Nichols of Melbourne, FL; two sisters, Jacquelyn Juliano of Ashtabula and Ramona (Edmund) Hawkins of North Kingsville; one brother, Harry (Dawn) Scott of Union, MO; seven nieces and nephews, Nicholas Shaffer, Cassandra and David Juliano, Martin Crabtree, Lacey Schneider, Chad and Jason Hawkins.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Barry Eugene Scott in 1958; and his mother, Virginia Scott in 2003.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 19, 2005, at 3 p.m.  at DUCRO FUNERAL SERVICES, 4524 Elm Avenue, Ashtabula, OH, with Pastor John Jones, from Lighthouse Baptist Church, officiating.
