HUNTERSVILLE, NC -- Duane "Derwood" Allen Campbell, age 49, of Huntersville North Carolina, died Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at Presbyterian Hospital.

Born June 26, 1956, in Ohio, he was a son of Donald Gene Campbell of Ohio and Nellie Hutchinson Campbell of Charlotte, North Carolina, and he was a 1974 graduate of Geneva High School.

Employed with Penco Tool Company as a Tool and Die Maker in Ashtabula, Ohio, for 20 years, he loved to ride Harleys, was an avid Browns fan, loved his family, was an avid reader, and loved the game of Pool.

Survivors include his parents; his son, Duane Allen Campbell II of Huntersville; daughters, Christina Jackson of Ohio, and Nikki Campbell of Huntersville; brothers, Bradley Campbell of Oregon, and David Campbell of Florida; sister, Mary Jeffrey of Charlotte; and five grandchildren, Shelley, Kamron, Kalissa, Deazaraye, and Madison.

Memorial Services will be conducted 2 p.m., Saturday, April 15, 2006, in the Chapel of RAYMER FUNERAL HOME, Huntersville, North Carolina.

The family will receive friends following the service.
