Peter J. Osterberg

GENEVA — Services for Peter J. Osterberg, 55, a lifelong resident of Geneva, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Behm Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva.

Mr. Osterberg died July 4, 2000, at UHHS Memorial Hospital at Geneva.

He was born April 2, 1945 in Geneva to Nellie (Brown) and Amos Osterberg.

He was a 1963 graduate of Geneva High School, a member of Ashtabula Gun Club and U.S. Power Squadron in Ashtabula and a member of GAMBA and supported marching Geneva activities.  He enjoyed boating, fishing and hunting, and was an excellent mechanic and enjoyed working on cars.

Mr. Osterberg worked at Advanced Auto Parts in Ashtabula and retired from Reliance Electric after 32 years of service.

Survivors are his wife, Brenda (Harbel), whom he married Aug. 3, 1976, in Geneva; daughters, Kim (Mike) Leyden of Geneva-0n-the-Lake and Nicole Osterberg of Geneva; sons, James (Pam) Todd of Geneva and Don (Tanya) of Madison; and eight grandchildren.

His parents are deceased.

Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  The Rev. Charles E. Althoff of St, John’s Lutheran Church will officiate at services.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva.
