NORVIN C. TURNER
LAKE CITY, PA -- Norvin C. Turner, age 71 of Lake
City, died Thursday, June 16, 2005, at
Hamot
Medical Center.
Born April 29, 1934 in Geneva,
Ohio, the son of the late Frank
Sr. and Mildred Beacon Turner.
He was a 1953 graduate of Geneva
High School, where he
excelled in basketball and other sports. Retired from
Pro Star Sports, he also worked at General Electric and Ohio Reliance Electric. He served in the United States Army, was a member of Geneva Methodist
Church, Erie Maennerchor Club, and enjoyed gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Barbara
Dylewski Turner; a son, Gary N. (Kim) Turner of
Fairview; two daughters, Julie A. Turner of Millcreek,
and Jennifer L. Turner of Lake City; three brothers, Frank Jr., William, and
Richard Turner, all of Geneva, Ohio; a sister, Dorothy Betts of Geneva; four
grandchildren, Carley I., Kayla K., Steven G. Turner,
and Brandon Leuellen; his mother-in-law, Doris Dylewski of Erie; an aunt, Isabelle Hurst of Indiana; his
former wife, Bobbie Turner of Millcreek; and further
survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sons, John and David Turner;
and a brother, Robert Turner.
Friends may call 2-5 and 7-9 p.m., Sunday, at the BURTON FUNERAL HOME, 3816
West Lake Road, and are invited to attend a Service there 11 a.m., Monday. Burial will be in Erie County
Memorial Gardens.
