LENORE J. LEMPONEN

GENEVA -- Lenore J. Lemponen, age 75, a lifelong resident of Geneva, OH, died Thursday, November 3, 2005, at her home in Geneva.

Born June 17, 1930, in Geneva, OH, she was a daughter of the late Alberta (Chapman) and George Hasenpflug. She was a 1948 graduate of Geneva High School and attended Ohio University.

On November 13, 1954, she married James Lemponen in Geneva. Mrs. Lemponen was a clerk at Rees Drug Store in Geneva for over 20 years.

She enjoyed playing bridge in numerous afternoon bridge clubs and watching sports of all kinds, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes football.

Survivors include a daughter, Lori Lemponen of Geneva, and a sister, Joyce L. Barnes of Ashtabula.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Lemponen, in 1999; and a son, Douglas Lemponen in 1988.

Graveside Service will be 2 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2005, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Geneva, OH, with Reverend John Gross, of Geneva First United Methodist Church, officiating. No visitation will be observed.
