Charles A. Schroeder

GENEVA - Charles A. Schroeder, 73, of South Eagle Street, died Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, at his home.  He was born Sept. 11, 1929, in Geneva, to Elmer and Vida (Squires) Schroeder. He was a lifetime area resident.  Mr. Schroeder was a 1947 Geneva High School graduate.

He married Ruth Jeppe May 23, 1953.


He was employed by East Ohio Gas Company until retiring in 1990.  Mr. Schroeder was a member of Park Street Christian Church. He enjoyed golf and traveling.


Survivors include his wife; son Jeffrey of Sebring; daughter Sandra Schroeder of Geneva; grandson Jeremy Diver; brother Herman Schroeder of Portland, Tenn.; and sister Helen DeGeorge of Geneva.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Robert.


Service is 11 a.m. Friday, at the Kennedy-Billman Funeral Home, 323 South Broadway, Geneva, officiated by the Rev. Larry Wade of the Park Street Christian Church. Burial is in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Geneva.  Calling hours are 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society.
