BETTIE l. (BURKHOLDER) PERKINS

Mrs. Bettie L. Perkins, 69, of Cortland Circle, Geneva, Ohio, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999, at the Country Club Retirement Center in Ashtabula, Ohio.


She was born on Feb. 17, 1930, in Geneva, the daughter of Penrose and Helen (Marshall) Burkolder. She was a graduate of Geneva High School in 1947. She had been employed by Carlisle's Department Store in Ashtabula and Geneva. She retired from Geneva Memorial Hospital where she had worked in the admitting office. Mrs. Perkins was a member of Park Street Christian Church of Geneva, Grace Chapter 11 Order of Eastern Star of Geneva where she was a Past Matron, and was also a member of the Geneva Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Her hobbies were enjoying her grandchildren and traveling.

Surviving are her son, Richard J. Perkins of Mentor, Ohio; a daughter, Marilyn J. Noll of Middletown; three brothers, Harry Burkholder of Harpersfield, Donald Burkholder of Jefferson, Ohio, and Ronald Burkholder of Perry, Ohio; a sister, Hallie Hutchins of Ashtabula; and four grandchildren, Matthew and Nicholas Perkins and Kristin and Jessica Noll.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard E. Perkins on May 4, 1991; and a brother, David Burkholder.

ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Kennedy-Billman Funeral Home, a Family Care Group Affiliate, 323 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio, with the Rev. Larry Wade of the Park Street Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva.Calling hours will be Sunday, Nov. 14, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home, with an Eastern Star service at 5:45 p.m.
