Margaret (Brown) Komsie

ASHTABULA - Margaret Komsie, 90, of Veterans Villa, West Prospect Road, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002, at the Cleveland Clinic.

Born Dec. 30, 1911, in Geneva, she was a daughter of Phillip and Ethel Brown and had been a lifelong area resident.

.A 1929 Geneva High School graduate, she worked at White's Bakery and Marie's Dress Shop, both in Jefferson, before moving to Ashtabula.  Ms. Komsie was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Joanne C. Egolf of Russell Township, and Mary Lou Stutzman of Painesville; four granddaughters, Lisa, Melissa, Leslie and Bridget, and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Toivo John Komsie, in 1965; a son, in infancy; a brother and a sister, both in infancy; and her parents.

Memorial service is 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethany Lutheran Church, 933 Michigan Ave., Ashtabula, with the Rev. E. Richard Bowen, retired pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Geneva.

No calling hours will be observed.
